Structured Group Learning Activities

SNAP is the proud sponsor of a monthly art therapy group in Anderson made possible through a grant from the Madison County Community Foundation. This group meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 1:30 – 2:30 at Hopewell Center (thank you for the use of your facility). The group is free to individuals with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. We encourage community members to come join us.

SNAP co-sponsors a monthly art class in New Castle (with CP of Henry County and Help At Home). This group meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11:00 – 12:00 at DSI (thank you for the use of your facility). The group is free to individuals with DD and their caregivers. We encourage community members to come join us. This group was originally started by Liz Frank – many thanks for your creativity!

Living Necessities Program:

SNAP has partnered with Bed, Bath, & Beyond and receives gently used items from community members (and has received a grant from the Madison County Community Foundation to extend our partnership for another year). SNAP donates these items to individuals with developmental disabilities in East Central Indiana. Email CJ to request or reserve items (first come, first served). Check the website regularly to see our inventory.  It goes quickly. Donations are always appreciated (bedding, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, socks, small appliances, dishes, silverware, towels, etc). New and gently used items can be dropped off in Muncie (call Brenda at 286-9138 for drop-off location).
